Terry Horn - More Poems
put in some effort
try or
be creative
please do not go away
i need you
your visits
your sense of knowledge
you could do things
make magic like fire
turn into a bird and
fly away
strong enough to carry me
strong enough to put me down
returned from
yesterday
had a book filled
with notes
drawings in pencil
it is
different now
ready
everything is almost
the same
got people
yelling
at me
to
buy more shit
the idiot’s platform
the mud dries
the leaves burnt
think i
will make coffee
and sip
surrendering logic
becoming something else
something new unlike
a car or maybe
it is a simple transition
described as a transfer
of energy
who
invented the piano
and why
would people play
was
in a room once
filled with
ideas
could no longer breathe then
you opened a window
and
i escaped
returned
with a
present
spent yesterday
lost inside the television
surprised by
the lack of wires
thought there’d be villages
filled with people
it isn”t lonely by your self
so
what”s your point
there i found a tree
a hat filled with wood
and a pen
we will evolve
in the rear view mirror
just want to
drive
somewhere
close or maybe far
away
here for now
that’s
all it’s ever
been
until i eat you
until i
put you in my mouth
and swallow
then
lost forever in time
a bone
drawings of the sun
a house in the 60’s
the very first mirror
went there to fall
and bleed
happiness
in my shirt
pocket
a pen protector
help me fix it
the door
the roof
the toilet
the trellis
for the wisteria
magic remains
check your pocket
did you
win at the casino
or
just watch the band
play
anyway
there’s
a pile of shit
waiting for me here
get thru
stuff
thanking you/me
for
all the memories
it is quiet here
noisy okra growing
missing you is easy
it was
being around you
that
was difficult
rarely
often
sometimes
watching you grow
watching you become
whole
