Terry Horn - More Poems
you were wet
covered in fur
it
was raining
the sky
laughing
crying
begging to learn
time
stuck to my shoe
leaves
mud on the floor
the memory arrives tomorrow
who invented the shovel
I sit
with squirrels and chipmonks
bluebirds and butterflies
“get a job”
the cats are yelling
I do not understand
and
into the earth we
go
dream
I was digging
I hate this day
here comes tomorrow
grew up
mystified
by mother earth
maybe
I am a poetess
searching for words
think
that is what
I will be
virtual
not
really a poem
this place
where
everybody’s gay
I am
a lesbian
yeah
I know
virtual
like a poem
kisses my
forehead
because
it’s the mind
and the eye
and parts
of everything
else
maybe
everything forgotten
is
written down on
paper
so
we won’t forget
they said
they had god
they said
on hold
while
we buy
a few more
television stations
do not wait
call now
get it
over
be done
move on
stumble
into the future
she
would tolerate
my
drug usage
do you
have any
between her
purse
and the truck
a large pharmacy
“house calls”
she
said
In
one of your tears
was
a story
it
hit the ground
got told
in the sun
in this window
in the cats
eyes
another
terror filled
heart warming
adventure
another day
I hope you find
your fucking way.that is
it.find your way.use
poems.they do not care.
they will help.oh yeah.
and do not ever forget.
your only job ends.
the rest is kindness and
sorrow.
