Terry Horn - More Poems
there is a beginning.volcano goddesses and even
that guy who ended up in
utah.eventually nevada.
saint helen of the cliffs.please find
it in your heart to push me over.let me
fall and fly.
across the pacific.
we are doomed by the idiotic pace.do not
blame the birds or the trees.
there is an ending.followed by a very new
beginning.
if you really want to do me
a favor you would stop acting and
start bitching about why this took
such a shallow meaningless turn
sitting on a bench
under
the lilacs
can you
promise
me
anything
yes
i can
it just fucking will not be
what
you think
it might be better somedays
it might be rain
disguised as
snow it might be
you
and i doubt that
it might
be a cat
looking
for a treat
sucks
sort of
like
this
you
know
who
you
are
respect your life
repeat
the mantra
does not
arrive
in the mail
notice anyway
hear the birds
she sings
life comes with a miracle
do not trust
applause
tends
to be misleading
almost always
thought he was god
thought he had some
knowledge
so
I believe
respect others
I always
hope
all it was
was loud
dogs and cats
doing
crazy shit
and
everyone
having babies
the house
that
came with cats
so
when I moved
in
they were here
waiting
for me
so
fix the place
up
she
grew up with hatred
the
kind of shit
that
does not go
away
who
did god ever
save
go to church
and see
what commandment
don’t
you understand
thou shall not
be a sacrament
goes back
to
that awful dreadful
space
as a visitor
you
can change this
too
the drug addled
sorrow
the happiness
we
felt together
hey
you might be missing
something
driving home
