piano

surrendering logic
becoming something else
something new unlike
a car or maybe

it is a simple transition
described as a transfer
of energy

who
invented the piano
and why
would people play

was
in a room once
filled with
ideas

could no longer breathe then
you opened a window
and
i escaped

returned
with a
present

the underworld

spent yesterday
lost inside the television

surprised by
the lack of wires
thought there’d be villages
filled with people

it isn”t lonely by your self
so
what”s your point

there i found a tree
a hat filled with wood
and a pen

we will evolve

want away

in the rear view mirror
just want to
drive
somewhere
close or maybe far
away

vanished

here for now
that’s
all it’s ever
been

swallow

until i eat you
until i
put you in my mouth
and swallow
then

pen

lost forever in time
a bone
drawings of the sun

a house in the 60’s
the very first mirror

went there to fall
and bleed

happiness
in my shirt
pocket

a pen protector

greg

help me fix it
the door
the roof
the toilet
the trellis
for the wisteria

magic remains
check your pocket
did you
win at the casino
or
just watch the band
play

anyway
there’s
a pile of shit
waiting for me here
get thru
stuff
thanking you/me
for
all the memories

okra

it is quiet here
noisy okra growing

missing you is easy
it was
being around you
that
was difficult

rarely
often
sometimes

watching you grow
watching you become
whole

change

who
was the angriest
where
did you learn
to hate

maybe drinking
more or less
discovering
facts
and podiatry
bones
perfect skeletal
imprints
and a letter
with instructions

discovers change

time

you were
important
because
you played music
silver hair
amongst the gold

heard you swear
felt your love
and anger

we come from somewhere
go nowhere
never to return

must be
hard to take
difficult
to swallow

time
