Terry Horn - More Poems
maybe you are sick
maybe you are working
maybe you are both
so namaste
follows the blue dot
as it flowers
pretends to hybernate
all day support
joins me in sleep
ends with a dog
a cat for balance
eats from a bowl
on the floor
watching television
becomes a cartoon
the latest
voted
and got fucked
wasn’t
that kind of love
afterall
will
make myself sick
instead
that is
why I almost hate you
hurting
more than the dead
tell my momma
I did my best
death
part of the business
spiritual poverty
highlights
a night out on the town
the mind the prisoner
the body the escape
esoteric reaching
who we are
arrives on earth
home
home at last
then it snowed
so dragons
gave us fire
then we burned
but
would rather go skateboarding
have some fun
both
is what we
need
and the temple
of the human body
follows the milky way
only then
it was called
the way of the goddess
gave birth to baby juan
discovered math with a
magnifying glass left
and later found on
the steps to the temple
do not believe this
because it is true
a human’s body
shining
in the twice born
somewhere in masadonia
twilight arrived
the stars
in the darkness
the creator of all
the rhythm of the tide
you and your surfboard
water
protected mostly by
surfers
hydrogen and helium
first born
illustrating order
arrives the sinner born at
the twinkling city
contacting creativity
and tradition
this is
the shadow calling
a pilgrimage
celebrating
at the jewelry store
worships
the sun in daylight
the moon as it sets
follow
the new journey
make time to pray
have a rock
found
on the ground
resting
lining up with other rocks
waiting
to be discovered
closer to the next step
following the twisted
rejects disappointment
recognized subtle
answered
not complacent
seeing danger
respect spelled
beautiful life earned
steady the heart
fuel the mind
there is a picture
framed now
illustrating
thousands of words
I was a young woman too
trying to understand
the understood
