the cannon went off
everybody said a prayer
to both god and the
wind

would it even hit a target
of course and eventually

a horror story
everyone wore a mask
unless you were eating

launched by saliva and
forceful breath

out of your ears from
one side to the other
until it made you insane
so they said
you saw it different
as in
a new beginning
